Get to grips with the basics of writing legends, fairytales and the supernatural in this 8-week course.
From Lord of the Rings to Game of Thrones, The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, Dracula, Twilight, or even World War-Z, the myths and fairytales of the past continue to inspire much of our most beloved fiction.
We’ll venture into imagined other worlds on a quest to understand how and why these stories work. From urban settings and into mythical lands, we’ll explore how to make fantastical stories come alive on the page through fun, inspiring exercises in class and short homework each week. In the end, you’ll return with the knowledge and tools of a storyteller, ready to pen your own fantastical tale.
Duration: 2 hours per week for 8-weeks.

Where: Courses are taught online, remotely using Zoom and Discord. This means that we can be wherever you are! If you’re not tech-savvy, don’t worry. Both platforms are easy to use and full instructions will be given.
